Service AV were proud to support Islington Council in the opening event of the newly refurbished Ironmonger Row Baths. The sporting facility steeped in history has been lovingly restored to an extremely high standard so it seemed fitting that the opening ceremony was attended by sporting Olympic royalty Ellie Simmonds.

The Opening was celebrated through song by the LSO Youth Choir.They performed by the poolside, what you can’t see is just how precariously close to the edge of the deep end the conductor stood whilst the choir sang.The Unveiling of the plaque by Ellie Simmonds together with the Mayor of Islington Jilani Chowdhury, Leader of the Council Catherine West and Health Chief Councillor Janet Burgess.

What better way to complete the opening celebration of the pool than to host a swimming competition between children from local schools. Cheered on by a packed gallery of parents and spectators not to mention meeting Ellie brought out the competitive spirit in the swimmers
